Simple Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

    It’s the seasons of baking so i thought to bring my favourite chicken pot pie recipe with some masala twist 

  2. I have’t mastered my pie dough skills yet so i use pillsbury pie crust. its easily available in all supermarkets.

  5. Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour


  1. Recipe Directions:

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F 
  3. In a saucepan saute the garlic with some oil  then add  chicken. fry chicken few minutes then add carrots and  peas. Add water to cover and boil for 15 minutes.once chicken is cooked drained the water in bowl. you can use this water instead of chicken broth 
  4. In the saucepan over medium heat, cook onions in butter until soft and translucent. Stir in flour, salt, pepper,turmeric,red chilli powder and garam masala . Slowly stir in chicken broth(you can use the drained water or  water and chicken cube ) and milk. Simmer over medium-low heat until thick. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Place the chicken mixture in bottom pie crust. Pour hot liquid mixture over. Cover with top crust, seal edges, and cut away excess dough. Make several small slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for  40 – 45 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

  8. for golden crust you can brush it with egg
